I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Penguin Random House
Interview
Many rounds and a few written assignments in between. It was casual and comfortable. Conversational. From beginning to end the process took about two months, which was much longer than expected.
Screened by temp, 15 minute interview with HR rep, and then 30 minute interview with three representatives from my department. The whole process lasted about an hour. The HR interview was straightforward and behavior based, and the interview with the department was mostly getting to know me.

Interview
Very friendly and communicative. Did a total of 4 interviews with different staff. Ultimately didn't get the job but it was a positive experience nonetheless.
They asked about my experience, how I communicate effectively, and what made me want to work for them.
