I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Penguin Random House in Aug 2021
Interview
Reached out to by a recruiter, had an interview with the hiring manager who was completely uninterested in anything I spoke about and my experiences and ideas. It was one of the worst interviewers I've ever had. I was prepared and the woman didn't even ask me questions and her phone notification sounds kept going off. The recruiter and interviewer ghosted me. Happy to not work for someone like that!
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Penguin Random House
Interview
I was first contacted by email to schedule a phone screening with HR. That interview was quick and easy. Just a few basic informational questions. After that, I had a video call with my would-be supervisors (2 of them). They were very friendly and I believe the interview went well. I wasn't selected for the position, but was told that, if I was I would have had one last interview.

How would handle disagreements within the workplace?
I applied online. I interviewed at Penguin Random House (New York, NY)
Interview
This was pre-Covid, however, I feel like I need to state that the most difficult part of the interview was the fact that they alleged that it was just an HR interview and then immediately sent me uptown to their other location to interview with VPs. During Zoom interview this may not be an issue, but I would recommend preparing and doing strenuous research, even for the HR interview, in case of an ambush.
