Interview
A week after applying I received a phone call asking if I would be available to come in for an interview later that day. I met with one editor individually (the one whom I would work most closely with) and then met with the entire team. It was fairly casual and they asked a few questions about my educational background, volunteer experience, and work experience. They answered some of my questions about the imprint and the sorts of books they published, and asked me how much I knew about the imprint prior to applying for this role. All of the editors were very friendly. The next day I received a phone call from the Human Resources representative, who offered me the internship.
