I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Refinery29 (New York, NY) in Mar 2014
Interview
I applied online, through the company's website and didn't hear back from them. I decided to follow up with an editorial assistant (they have their emails listed in their profiles on the website) and she emailed me back immediately. I had an in-person interview where she asked basic questions. It was more conversational than formal. She emailed me back and asked me to complete an edit test and within a week I was told I received the position. The process took all of maybe 2-3 weeks.

Question 1
Who do you think (celebrities) fit the Refinery29 image?
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Refinery29 (New York, NY) in Feb 2015
Interview
I had sent my resume months prior to receiving a phone call telling me they had an immediate position open for me followed by 'congrats we have a position for you' and then failure to follow through twice, I gave up on the company. Very unprofessional.

Question 1
Where would the perfect press hit / media placement be for a Refinery29 article?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Refinery29 (New York, NY)
Interview
Long, tedious, and inapplicable to the job description. They take weeks to get back to you, and they are disorganized, unprofessional, ineffective and heartless in their approach to candidates. I was one of the lucky ones in receiving an offer, however, once I began working for Refinery29, I began to realize just how in disarray they were. A complete overhaul and restructuring of management is the only thing that could save this company, if its not already do late. Everyone wants out.
