I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Refinery29 (Los Angeles, CA) in Feb 2018
Interview
I interviewed someone who worked in the department I was interested in then there was a phone call screening. The phone call interview felt like it was us getting to know one another. The in person interview consisted of questions on how I exhibited XYZ skills, why Refinery29, etc. (This interview was conducted pre-pandemic by the way)

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Refinery29 in Apr 2021
Interview
Very relaxed. 1st round was with the director and the second was with the person who would eventually train me. 3rd round was just a brief phone call to discuss pay expectations
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Refinery29
Interview
HR representative from the company reached out to me and we scheduled an initial phone call. I moved on to Zoom interview with hiring manager. Shortly after I was sent a lengthy edit test to complete. The edit test was long but standard. Upon sending it in, I was ghosted by the company for over a month. I sent 2 follow ups after 3 weeks of not hearing from anyone regarding the role, each about a week and a half apart. I eventually reached out to hiring editor who informed me they moved forward with another candidate. This is the second time this brand ghosted me after interview / edit test process. Given the time consuming nature of these edit tests, I wish the HR reps gave the respect to send an email informing the status of your interview process. Frustrating, to say the least.
