I applied online. I interviewed at Refinery29 in Jan 2019
Interview
Wonderful. Questions were ok. Nothing intrusive. Felt welcomed Also felt like they wanted a certain answer
Very much like a reverse psychology situation in an obvious manner.
Questions like how have you dealt with a no. What do you like to do for fun.
Started with a phone interview to gauge my experience with writing and editing. Asked the normal questions and was very responsive when I asked questions as well. Offered insight into the position as well as what the new employee would be doing on a daily basis.
Informal, get to know you chat, including background with the subject matter. Didn’t have much flexibility within the job at the time I interviewed (wishing to do remote work). Perhaps different post-pandemic. Wasn’t the right fit for either of us, but interviewer was incredibly kind.
