I applied online. I interviewed at Shopify in Oct 2016
Interview
They just wanted to talk to you and ask you about your life. Nothing complicated, they have a simple fun conversation with you. It's best to act as if you're talking to your friend over skype.
Had to apply through building a Shopify store. Your store had a list of requirements that were needed to be met. This included things like a certain number of pages, installing an app, adding a logo, telling them about yourself and adding a blog post. Once this was completed, they emailed me a link to schedule a 'Life Story Interview', if they like you after this, they'll schedule you for 'The Gauntlet' a 3 hour test of your customer service abilities.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Shopify (Galway) in Sep 2016
Interview
Quite an unusual approach to interviewing. I was asked about my background. They just want to see what you are like and how chatty and friendly you are.
Before that I had to build my own online store, which was quite fun.I also had to right a blog about why I wanted to become a guru.
I got invited to the gauntlet. You have 30 minutes to answer 3 emails, followed by feedback, followed by another 30 minutes to review and change your answers. This was kinda stressful, got quite flustered!
After that I had to do a live chat. Then there were 3 phonecalls which I had to answer as if I was in the job role.
The questions asked were all within the resources and help from their website and google.
