Interview
Steps
1. Online application: Typing test and resume.
2. Recruiter reached out after a week for the Life Story. Be sure to know your previous work
history and be able to portray the skills correlating to the job.
3. Technical Interview, I scheduled mine 3 days after I got the invite, so I could give myself
enough time to go over the Shopify Technical Interview Booklet:
- Make a Shopify Store before you go to the technical interview, know it in and out so you can
assist the clients during the job. Put yourself in the position of handling 2 live chats, get
questions from the Shopify Help Centre and start practicing dealing with 2 live chats at once
using a word document or whatever you want to use, but definitely practice!
- During the Technical Interview:
Part 1 you have 15 mins to deal with 2 live chats simultaneously, make sure you pay
attention to both:
- Live Chat 1: What is accessibility?
- Live Chat 2: How do I setup crypto pay? One of my clients is asking about BitPay what is
that and how do I set it up?
Part 2 you will get a call from the technical recruiter and you have 10 mins to resole it:
- Hey I'm selling some new products but I don't have them in stock, how can I hide them on
my Shopify Store?
- During the call engage with the client, ask them questions like what they are selling, guide
them through each step making sure they're in the right section, match their tone, if
they're in a hurry try to understand that and ensure you can resolve the issue quickly.
4. About a day later they should reach out to you to let you know if you passed or failed. If
everything is going well, you're going to hear back really quickly asking for 3 references,
they're going to ask you to fill out your references and will send a survey to
your references so they can fill it out.
5. About a week or so after your references fill out their form you should get a call from the
recruiter for an offer.
