I applied online. I interviewed at Shopify (Toronto, ON) in Nov 2014
Interview
- Relaxed and conversational
- recruiter focused on understanding my career path as much as he focused on the skills and experiences on my resume
- Felt like a connection with another human being rather than an interrogation
-After interview with recruiter, I went on to do the Gauntlet
-nerve-wrecking affair and was incredibly stressed throughout, but the squad lead that was running it was kind yet neutral.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Shopify (Victoria, BC)
Interview
A 3 step interview, Video > Basic interview >skill assessment and run through. The Basic was quite casual and relaxed however the skill testing was quite a challenge so use all resources they provide and study!
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Shopify (Toronto, ON) in Nov 2016
Interview
Lengthy application process (building a store) in order to be selected for an interview. Interview itself was super casual, you just talk about your life story. I think it's just so they can see if you are easy to converse with, relatable and whether you'd fit with their team. Then you may or may not be selected to move onto the 3 hour gauntlet.
I found the whole process way too lengthy. From applying (building a store) to finding out that I got an interview (1 month) to finding an opening for an interview (2 weeks later), then finding an opening for the gauntlet (3+ weeks later).
