Interview
I had a phone screen with HR, then in-person with HR and the Senior HRM. I was told I would hear back within a week. They did contact me via email asking my compensation requirements; we went back and forth a few times, then NOTHING. A few weeks later I saw the job was posted again but now with agencies. Charter Communications should have been up front with the salary and not waist people time. They should have said that the position is paying $32.00 an hour. I hope they realize “you get what you pay for”.

Interview
I applied online for a full time "store associate" position. This began the bizarre and unorganized hiring process. After completing the online assessments I was contacted by a recruiter to set up a phone interview.
Before the phone interview she emailed me a list of questions to fill out and send back. These were clearly the questions she was supposed to ask me over the phone. This was a bit off putting, but I took the phone interview. It was barely 15 minutes long and she explained the position and dress code and then asked if I wanted to move on to an in person interview. I agreed and was told someone would call me to set that up in the next day or two.
A few days later I still hadn't heard from anyone so I emailed the recruiter and asked if there was an update on the interview. She said she really wanted to speak with me and asked for a time she could call. I picked a time and she called and LITERALLY REPEATED THE EXACT SAME CONVERSATION WE HAD A FEW DAYS EARLIER. It was word for word the same conversation. Again I was told there would be a call to set up a face to face.
Eventually in a few days I was emailed a time for the face to face which was with two managers of different store locations. They asked typical "tell me about a time" questions and "why Charter?". They did ask me to sell them something based on my prior sales job and I was told I did great. Everything seemed like it went fabulous until right as we parted ways they said the dreaded words "we have some internal applicants to interview". This usually means us externals aren't going to get the position. Regardless, I was told a decision would be made in a few days and I would hear from them or the recruiter either way.
Two weeks later and nothing. I emailed the recruiter multiple times and have received no response. I see the position has been listed on the website as open again. What a mess this whole process was.
