I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Twilio (San Francisco, CA) in May 2021
Interview
Had 2 hours to solve a simple Hackerrank problem. I was done in about 20 minutes. I spent the rest of the time adding blows and whistles, unit tests, and made the whole thing parallel, etc.
Got a nearly instantaneous reply from Twilio (less than 1h after submission, in the evening), that they do not wish to proceed.

I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Twilio (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2021
Interview
Three stages:
- A timed takehome assessment on HackerRank
- Once
- A remote "onsite" that consists of four stages: a bar raiser round to assess your situational awareness and behavioral responses, technical talks with someone in the team, a systems design round, and a pair programming session
In-between the first and second round took a while, but afterwards my recruiter was super responsive, amazing prep guides, and came through with a final decision after the onsite in less than a week.
