I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Twilio (Bengaluru) in Feb 2021
Interview
This was for Software Engineer (P2).
Recruiter approached me and gave a Hackerrank Challenge to attempt. It was a 2 hours round.
They'll schedule all the rounds (usually 4) at once and they happen back to back with small break in between.
1. Technical round (design round, since this was for P2)
2. Hiring Manager (mostly asking specific question about your experience)
3. Bar Raiser round (similar to HM)
4. Coding round (pretty easy )
HM & Bar Raiser : Panels have set of questions regarding various scenarios and they'll expect you to answer in a very straight forward way.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. I was asked to complete a system design based on Streaming Data and managing that data.
2. Coding round was pretty easy. Standard DS & Problem solving question.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Twilio (Tallinn) in Feb 2021
Interview
The process was accelerated in my case as I was part of Twilio's hiring event. Everything was smooth and at every step it was very clear. I had a screening with the HR representative and after that four 45 minute interviews in the same day.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They required extensive knowledge of programming and had live coding tests. I was also asked for architectural problem solving.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Twilio in Jun 2021
Interview
This differed slightly from the typical interview process at most places, with a manager interview first, then straight to a virtual onsite with:
- 1 technical interview
- 1 design interview
- 3(!) behavioural interviews with a PM, peer SWE, and manager, so you better have stories from your past the align well with their values
After forcing me to spend 3 days on the interviews, they ghosted me for the interview results, but as if they were trying to rub salt on the wound, the recruiter who initially reached out sent out another email for the exact same position! Shows how disorganized and impersonal their recruiting efforts are.
