I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Twilio in Sep 2022
Interview
Scheduled 30 minutes interview in which the recruiter told me that the vacancy was already filled. A terrible waste of time, the interview was arrange weeks in advance and could have been canceled.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
No questions, just told that the position was not available. Bizarre experience.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Twilio in May 2022
Interview
Really good communication and very friendly.
All conducted via zoom as was for a remote position.
Lots of documentation on the interview process provided up front.
Overall, a very professional and friendly process - even if I wasn't successful!
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Can you tell me about a difficult decision you have made?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Twilio in Mar 2022
Interview
1. Introductory communication from the recruiter.
2. Coding test on HackerRank (fairly easy).
3. Four 45-minute interviews with:
a.) Hiring manager (he did most of the talking)
b.) Design problem on a virtual whiteboard - the problem wasn't difficult (a system received 1K events/second, which need to be fed to a black-box ML system once per hour and certain actions need to be taken based on the output of that). The interviewer was a bit antagonistic, which I wasn't expecting.
c.) Another coding test on HackerRank. This one was more domain-specific, but still not too difficult. I've forgotten the problem, but it required implementing sliding windows.
d.) A bar-raiser, who asked behavioral questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The behavioral questions were all pretty standard - nothing unanticipated.
I must add that Twilio was great during the whole process. Great communication, they send a good amount of info to prepare, and they followed up quickly.
