I applied through other source. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at X (New York, NY) in Jul 2021
Interview
1. There is an initial call with the Recruiter
2. Then there is a Case Study with a Product Manager
3. Then the Hiring Manager interview - another case study and some background questions
4. Final Round - Panel
The biggest issue with twitter is that recruiters and hiring manager have NO empathy. The first scheduled interview I had the interviewer DID NOT SHOW UP. I emailed the recruiter 10 min in and he didn't reply for 1 hour to let me know the interviewer forgot to show up. Then they had to reschedule it for TWO WEEKS later. Then the recruiter accidently scheduled my hiring manager call for 30 min instead of 1 hour and the hiring manager rushed through my interview and immediately failed me because he couldn't get through all his questions. When I brought this up to the recruiter that I didn't have a fair shot - he essentially said that they had an internal candidate in the mix and they were using me for benchmarking. Very poor brand representation for Twitter.
also DO NOT BE FOOLED. If they reach out to you first, which happened to me, it's usually to prove they have compared you with an internal candidate just to choose the internal candidate. This happened to me 2 times and to several of my friends as well. Make sure to confirm that there is not internal candidate in the mix.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at X in Apr 2021
Interview
Was contacted by the recruiter, had a chat, she promised to reach out soon, but it’s been months and recently saw on linkedin that she changed companies herself, no update after following up
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at X in May 2020
Interview
It was a phone interview with the recruiter. The recruiter provided a breakdown of the roles, including the systems that I would be responsible for supporting. Recruiter broke down the salary details of the role as well as the interview process. The recruiter mentioned they would get back to me one way or another by the end of the week. It's been a month and I haven't heard back. I'm assuming that I am not being considered for the role. It's hard to respect a company when they ghost you after talking to you. It's not difficult to send an email to an interviewee regarding their status. If that's too much to ask, then the company likely doesn't value providing feedback to employee who work there.
