I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Zynga (Los Gatos, CA) in Feb 2010
Interview
Phone interview was mainly about what are my strengths and wheher I would fit in. Not very technical.
On site interview consisted of linked list questions(find the mid point), stack grows up or down, exceptions in c++ and some puzzles.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Zynga (South San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2009
Interview
I was referred to one of the Zynga employees by a former colleague of mine.
We talked on the phone for about an hour and I was invited for an in-person interview. The scheduling was somewhat strange as one recruiter called me on the phone and a different one sent me an e-mail with the instructions on how to get there and who I will meet.
When I arrived it turned out that the instructions were somewhat wrong and I was at the wrong building. Thankfully the building where I was supposed to be was a two minute walk away so I managed to get there on time.
I met with 3 engineers and one business person. The technical questions were quite easy (writing sample code, designing a service, etc) so I was surprised that I did not receive an offer.
The thing that I did not like about the whole process was that they never even called or e-mailed to tell me that I was not a good fit for the position...
