The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Zynga in Aug 2011
Interview
I had four phone conversations. Originally, I applied online and received an email form an HR rep. We had two phone conversations and then I had a phone interview with a Sr. PM from San Fransisco office and a phone interview with a Sr. PM from Dallas office.
The questions were case style questions focused on managing large amounts of data and making money from online games.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zynga (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2011
Interview
During my on-site interview I was brought into a very small room and talked with 3-4 people for about 1/2 hour each. The people all seemed very personable and easy to talk to. None of them asked very "hard-hitting" questions so the interview went pretty smoothly I think. After talking with the interviewers I was taken on a tour around the different areas of the building, which are divided into game teams- the building and work culture was much less corporate than I would have expected, and has a very casual, yet energetic feel. It has a vibe similar to a large start-up.

Question 1
How would you feel if you were strictly involved with the production side of the pipeline, and not involved creatively at all?
