Pros

Adyen+ allowance and free lunch during noon.

Cons

No leaders - At a whole company’s and a full team’s level, Adyen is just a heap of loose sand, even though at an individual level, every member is “smart”. Team leads are just wrong people promoted to the wrong place, otherwise they have nowhere to go after several years of working in Adyen. My manager is a habitual liar with very limited understanding/embracing of different people and discriminated against women while using the formula to justify himself being hostile to capable women in technical roles. Very old and hard-to-maintain tech stack. It is not a fintech company as it may seem, it is a fake. International colleagues (truely nice thing), but cultural barriers exist and need to be taken into account to collaborate with each other instead of being ignored. I’ve worked with team members too competitive who just wanted to prove they are the best instead of sharing and learning from mutual differences.

Pros

- Company is doing very good and growing very fast - Company is also hiring a lot of people and at the same time trying to protect culture - APAC head is clear and sets a good culture - A few very smart colleagues - Company gives a lot of free things

Cons

- If you're in the inner circle of decision makers, you'll thrive. Most of these people are of a certain race, just look at management and the team heads and you'll see why - Base compensation is below market and no bonus for most roles, yearly increment is low even when the company is doing well. Employees tried to raise this but management lives in their bubble and thinks pay is fair so many people leave. Expecting many more people to leave in 2022 - Politics - Main roles are in Amsterdam, communication is bad
