Pros

There are still some very good employees working for the company. Hopefully Specialty Chemicals will be sold off, and these employees will be retained under new top management.

Cons

Top management does not care about their employees. Does not matter if you are a long time employee, you are expendable to them. Company is going through major reorganization. They waste money on bringing consultants in to call the shots. They pay outsiders to say that former management was all incompetent, so they could move them out, and hand pick who they wanted. If jobs are not being filled internally, there is a reason for that! APPLICANT BEWARE!

Use to be a great place

Pros

17+ years ago this was a great place to work. Management was for the employees, all kinds of incentives and benefits. Made you happy to come to work.

Cons

New management came in, striped all employee incentives. Became a very unpleasant place to work. Lots of layoffs and out sourcing of jobs.

Pros

Its like a community center for children, there are lots of activities and no real work to do. Just look busy.

Cons

One of the worst places to work. It is very much a glass half full kind of business and there is no drive. Those who are on the old ICI contracts are promoted and pushed (mostly because its hard to get rid of them). People do the bare minimum and that is okay because aslong as it looks like you are doing something noone questions you. On the outside it looks like a well functioning business however there is a definite reason that there are no young staff who will be the future of the company. Many leave after a year.
