Pros

It has a canteen, you get to have coffee, you get to meet some genuine people with good morals before they leave for better places, you learn how to speak and handle two faced people and the best is that you get to be told off by people who do barely anything all day.

Cons

This company has probably the worst possible people in senior roles. It is a company that bases its whole employment scheme not on how hard a person works, on how far a person wants to go in the company but actually on how much you can lick a persons behind. It creates teams of people who more than likely are linked to someone else by blood. It also has a personality of bullying. There is a massive bullying trend in the company and the people who run these departments know this, and they have no real morals on how to create a team or department that works hard, is trained properly and can actually make a team grow. This is due to there only being maybe one or team leaders with any type of cop on, and they may have actually left!! If you are interested in working for a company with no real standards in certain departments, have a tongue with plenty of endurance and a mind that can ignore the rubbish then this is the company for you.

I appreciate you taking the time to post a review on Glassdoor. I would be concerned with some of your comments - we have a zero tolerance to bullying and we have comprehensive policies and procedures in place to tackle any complaints regarding bulling and harassment. I would like to suggest that you meet with me or your HR business Partner to discuss this further. Claire Cusack Human Resources Director

Pros

Diverse teams, flexible hours, working from home project The work in claims can be interesting and colleagues will help you out whenever you come across something new. Would recommend to a friend at the start of their career.

Cons

Lack of communication in management, high level of stress at times, meetings can be conducted in an intimidating manner, pressure to come to work when sick, lack of recognition, lack of development opportunities, HR writing fake and unrealistic 5 star reviews on here, questionable promotions, pay is not terrible but for dublin not great, cost containment procedures like letting us go home early then take it out of our toil

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback. I can assure the HR team do not write fake reviews on this site. I appreciate your comments on communication and we are working on improving communication forums this year which you will have been invited to the recent Town Halls with the CEO and updates through our new Intranet site Connect. I am happy to discuss this with you at any time. Claire Cusack Human Resources Director.

Pros

I could have mentioned all the pros you can see on previous reviews such as health insurance, car insurance, flexi time... but to be honest I haven't seen any major company in Dublin not proposing these kind of perks. That's actually the strict minimum. The only pros I've found is that the company will teach you a lot of things such as patience, politics and strategy

Cons

The company looks like a huge mess!! It seems that there are 2 main categories of people in here: the ones who are way too under qualified to do their job. They will just stab every person they will consider as a threat as they are too scared someone will realize that their jobs can be done better. And the one who are just there to pay their bills / mortgages and won't do any effort for the company. It also seems that the company is completely split between Irish and foreigners. This feeling is amplifed due to the fact that there is absolutely no transparency in the promotion process. Your progression will depend on your team leader / manager, it's like playing lotto. There is a huge lack of communication between departments. No one is going on the same direction. If you don't have a car or if you're not living close to the company, the location will be a nightmare for you. Dublin bus is not really efficient and the shuttle service is actually worse. Once a week I'm late because the bus is late or didn't show up. The cantine is getting a bit better but there's still a lot to do! Still too expensive for what it is.
