Pros
I’ve stayed at Argus because of the chance to work with clever people. It’s an interesting industry and staff are experts in their field. Argus has tripled in size since I joined, and it’s exciting to be part of an entrepreneurial business where good ideas are listed to and acted upon. Argus rewards staff well and I like working with a stable team where managers are experienced and where there are opportunities for promotion.
Cons
The pace of work is fast with limited chance to improve processes. Business support functions are understaffed and basic functions can be poorly handled. It’s frustrating to be split amongst three office locations (at least the walk between offices is past plenty of nice Clerkenwell cafes). There isn’t a common area large enough for the office to get together.
