Pros

Great co-workers, great customers! Dress code is nice, love the products and gratis is nice. Discount at Victoria's Secret is a good perk.

Cons

Everything was great until we got a new RM. He has no people skills and feels the need to pop into stores unannounced and criticize everything. His "action plan" for the district was to hire managers from outside the company! The company no longer values loyal employees. In the last 6 months we have lost all 3 upstate NY DM's who each had 15 plus years of service with the company and numerous awards. Our district has also lost 4 of our top volume store managers to other companies due to the poor treatment we have all received.They had each had between 6-18 years of service! They are hiring outside the company for stores rather than promoting from with in. The new managers have no clue what they have gotten themselves into but our new DM is treating them like are the best thing that has ever happened to the district! Holiday is going to be a nightmare! I am sure there will be many open management positions in January when stores miss there December sales plans. The company is not the same since Ken Montera the EVP left. You have to wonder if he saw the writing on the wall and got out before it all fell apart.

Pros

Fun co-workers, made some great friends! Great employee discount. Excellent products that customers keep coming back for. Somewhat flexible with scheduling.

Cons

Expectations are usually unattainable. Company really shifted from a service driven model to being all about the numbers - retaining customers didn't seem to matter anymore, just get everyone in the store to buy something.

Pros

Reasonable compensation, new commission position will help make management job easier, sales will sell themselves.

Cons

Very "inside the box" thinking. Strategies are too simple and repetitive. Too much pressure and emphasis on conversion, creates such a stressful environment when browsers shop or people walk in and out across the leaseline
