Pros

On boarding associates for holiday was a lot of fun. The products are amazing and easy to be passionate about.

Cons

They really focus a lot on the business. It is understandable that it is a business but with out good strong happy associates there is no business. They hired outside the store for a new Store Manager. She boasted about how she had all the questions for the telephone interview out of the on boarding tool box from a friend who worked in a different store. When that position opened up the Store Co Manager applied and wasnt given the chance she deserved because the district manager doesnt like her. It was hard to respect the new Store Manager when she was incredibly immature and would take her name badge off to deal with customers who complained. She also would push her management team against each other.

Pros

+discount +get dibs on new products +get free products when new items come out +good if you want a little extra cash

Cons

+almost NO hours +CALL INS- this is the biggest waste of time. You can't make any plans on days that you have scheduled call ins and then you need to call the store an hour before and see if they need you (they never need you when you haven't made plans and when you have plans they ALWAYS use your call in) +you really don't get paid much per hour and until you are a co or store manager you don't even get any benefits at all +you get forced to bombard people and get them to buy more stuff even if you hate having people do it to you +floorsets are a pain and your availability excludes them so you will still get scheduled for them even if you cannot work on sundays

Pros

You get to see new products come out first.

Cons

Well, if you want hours this is not the place for you! If you want to work about 5 hrs a week...work here. The philsophy there is to hire a string of part timers and not giving them more than 5 hrs at a time so that they don't have to take a break. When you do actually work it is for minimum wage unless you are a manager. As a sales associate, you don't get any benefits. You are expected to sell like a commissioned sales associate, but it doesn't matter how much you sell. You still get paid the same. The manager won't give you any hours if you don't prove you are amazing at sales the first couple days working there. Why? Because the manager wants HER bonus. The only time you get to work a long shift is during floor sets on Sunday nights. This is where you rearrange the entire store for minum wage and don't get a break. Professonals that companies hire to do floorsets make a lot more than minum wage. I was there some times till 1 am. The worst part though is probably the on call shifts where you call an hour before the shift starts to see if they need you. When the manager wants to get rid of you, they just schedule you for all on call shifts and don't ever have you come in. Instead of having the courtesy to tell you it's not working out, they just waste your time with on call shifts. Yes, some of these complaints have to do with the particular store I was in. She was unprofessional and talked behind people's backs. All her other managers had quit by the time I quit. But, I do know that across the board, sales associates are treated as pretty much expendable. Oh, and I didn't put discount as a pro, because the sales they have for customers are usually better than the discount you get as a sales associate. I could go on and on, but I am going to spare you the rest. Just work some where else where you are appreciated.
