Pros

Passionate, brilliant teams who balance hard work with a fun work environment, lots of perks (gifts, food, swag, events), decent amount of time off, and located close to lots of parks, hiking trails, the beach, etc.

Cons

The department I work in has grown too fast, too quickly. Many of the upper management are new and have brought in sweeping changes without first getting to know the existing culture and employees. I used to feel like a valued member of a talented, close-knit team. Now I feel like a faceless resource to be moved around to promote someone else's agenda. The career advancement is completely opaque to the majority of the employees, and management lacks any apparent will to mentor, lead, or even get to know their employees. In this environment, the goal isn't to stand out and excel, but to do just well enough not to be noticed.

Females beware

Pros

Well, you'll work for an awesome company and receive good benefits, but if you're a female you'll often feel ostracized.

Cons

Employees are cliquey and it's hard to break into the corporate environment. It is not female-friendly at all and attempts to reach out and make friends with some employees will end badly. A male coworker was hired at the same time as me and he was accepted without issue. Also, employees treat sensitivity training as a joke/laugh at people who feel excluded. Altogether this makes feeling happy at work very difficult. Managers often aren't in touch with what's going on in their teams. Lots of relocations, too.

Pros

Seems to care about people not overworking(not really out of compassion, but instead because they have been sued many times in the past because of it).

Cons

Management, Leadership and C-Staff don't know what they're doing. Compensation is very poor compared to other companies Outdated leads that are only still there because they are seen as monuments. There's no original ideas . Just copy what the rest of the industry does, and use the excuse "as blizzard we will make it better" People are generally unhappy at work, leadership knows it, doesn't do anything about it. In the art sector, leadership has no clue what they want, so they muddy communication and in the end the fault always reverts to the artist. They will hire other artists to work with you without even consulting you, or you having the chance to also interview such person. Just that in general management doesn't really see you as human beings. All good employees and leadership have left or are in the process of doing so. Only thing remaining is a sinking ship. There's no growth unless you sugarcoat your leads. In that case you don't even need to be good to be promoted. The new president is not nearly as good as Mike Morhaime.
