Good place to get entry-level experience but then there is no where to be promoted to

The people you work with as an Assistant Editor are usually enjoyable, and it is not a bad job for a short period of time. It is good experience for learning to work with authors and create your own products (supplements).

Cons

The senior management is flailing around desperately to make money on print textbooks in a digital world and it shows in how they treat their employees. Management expectations go against what is possible and employees are often punished for this.
