      A Great Place to Learn & Leave

      Pros

      The people working in the trenches are good, passionate people.

      Cons

      No leadership support and very little opportunity for advancement. Overall, there is not a strong culture simply based on the fact that there is an extremely high turnover rate. When everyone is constantly afraid of losing their jobs it's almost impossible to trust this company as a long-term career investment. My advice: get what you need and leave.

      Company Tries Hard but is changing

      Pros

      Still a sense of employee focus and wellbeing (middle management layers enact this in their teams) Wellness Week In certain Business Units, there is a strong sense of teamwork and working towards a common good -- our learners.

      Cons

      Removed two wellness days when the feedback has been very clear that the employees need more time off when the whole company is off. Upper management fails to realize that the constant push for growth is straining the contributors and creating burnout, a sense of defeat.

      Tough industry

      Pros

      Managers and leadership are doing their best, but higher ed is a tough space to be in right now. Colleagues are great and genuinely care. The benefits (especially time off) are quite good.

      Cons

      Layoffs are the norm and cyclical. Product management in a former publishing company is quite different. The role as is now is more project and people management-oriented.
