      +Amazing Benefits---lots options for retirement planning, 12 week parental leave, huge employee support system +Employee focused...the company works hard to make us happy and give us what we need...excellent communication between higher ups and team members. Lots of channels for that. +the company is transparent, and the departments work very closely together....everyone isn't silo'ed away from each other +Passionate energy...everyone seems to really LIKE being at work. It's honestly FUN to work here

      I've only been with Gale/Cengage a few months but I honestly cannot think of a single one.

      Pros

      Company culture is one of the strong aspect of this company. The Leadership team has been active too and is learning from feedback, which is impressive. Creative freedom in the team, which is important! Excellent Career growth opportunity

      Cons

      Benefits could be better. Vacation days are pretty less when you start(Only 2 weeks) Learning opportunity could be better wrapped and presented. Like most companies have $3-6K budget for each employee per year which can be used for certifications, training or job related stuff without asking any question, though company does allow you to take up trainings and provides ample opportunities for internal skill growth, but I feel the company can still do better interms of external skill growth

      I LOVE my team - near & far - very supportive in every way. I love the work/life balance this job offers, allowing me quality time with my children. The compensation and benefits have been monumental in helping me provide a better life for my family. Most of all, the appreciation for my hard work and dedication to students and my instructors is the best reward. It makes me feel good to be helping our educators and our students and that is truly priceless!

      Cons

      Transition in departments hasn't always had the best timing. Having some accountability and consistency with those asked to work with new hires could be improved, so each new hire gets a similar rewarding experience.
