Great place for entry level experience or first job, but thats it.

Great place for entry level experience or first job, but get out as soon as you can and move on.

Cons

Management is horrible, no room for growth, VERY low pay - i took a job after i was there a year for $12k more a year for a very similar position at a SMALLER company.

The people you work with as an Assistant Editor are usually enjoyable, and it is not a bad job for a short period of time. It is good experience for learning to work with authors and create your own products (supplements).

Cons

The senior management is flailing around desperately to make money on print textbooks in a digital world and it shows in how they treat their employees. Management expectations go against what is possible and employees are often punished for this.
