      Pros

      Some truly great brands and magazines. Some really great people too. Hence 2 stars not 1

      Cons

      Many of the great brands and great people not being nurtured or supported. Over promising and under delivering, so many of best people leaving to join competitors. Not meeting industry standards on pay. Many feel little room for development in career. Lack of work-life culture. Embarrassingly out of touch in terms of digital future plans, not forward thinking in terms of new media. Suppliers and contractors often paid late.

      The management hierarchy is set up to deliver the worst kind of micro management i have seen. I worked here for a large period of my career, and over the last two years the company has transformed itself from being a great place to work, to one of the worst, from every element of the business. Human resources is no longer a place for support but is there more to help implement ridiculous regulations. Management have no respect for staff anymore, if you were looking for a career here, you should take a look at the % of employees that have left the business in the past 24 months, and also the incredible and high turnaround of staff they now have. That should give you the answer if you think that this is a place to build a career. Having worked for incisive media, Denis and Centaur (where i spent the longest) i would look at other publishers before considering Centaur, unless you like be being mis-treated and extorted.

      Besides working with some great brands and really great people (that are essentially dying out) I really can't think of any pros to working here

      Cons

      A CEO who is out of touch with her people and the future of "media"
