      Improving but still work to do

      Pros

      Some great individuals and good talent within the business across content, commercial and operational roles. Management has improved a lot over the last year or two. The atmosphere at work is relaxed and friendly.

      Cons

      Some senior management have been promoted beyond their ability - in particular some senior managers who started in sales and have no strategic awareness or overview of the massive changes impacting publishing market

      Good people, few opportunities for progression

      Pros

      Some really amazing brands and really inspiring individuals. Also there is a real drive to innovate in certain areas.

      Cons

      Pay is miserable and commission schemes are often changed on a half-year or even quarterly basis sometimes meaning you don't know whether you are coming or going. Also some portfolio teams are all renewals at huge amounts and they don't work at all while others work hard for little result. Many decent sales people have left

      - Sales teams try and keep a community feel - Location? In the heart of London

      Cons

      - Receptionists that never smile (unless you know them) - Building and its businesses are not labelled properly (you get lost easily) - Dullest and smelliest toilets in a business I have ever been to - Worst meeting rooms ever, different chairs that are broken, no working booking system which means you get kicked out by more senior members - You are not allowed to have - Low pay - Senior management make decisions that affect day to day well being, removing fruit, company days out, no more bread, bad coffee - Worst IT system in place - hard to install software that is essential for your daily work. Be ready to wait 1 week to get something installed for you
