Pros

Remote work environment, annual team meetups, benepass monthly benefits, internal bonus platform (Bonusly)

Cons

ClassPass cannot figure out how to be straight with their customers or the partners that list on their app. There isn't enough demand in the market so they will just list random businesses without asking them and hope they accept the reservation. Refuses to properly staff customer support to handle insanely high volume. You will be asked to do more without any additional compensation, which is already below industry standard. CX leadership and directors have zero experience actually running a CX department or what good support looks likes. Continually asks for improvements while burning all employees out. The Chief Customer Officer left and they didn't bother to replace them, support rolls into revenue which is completely atrocious for getting any additional support or development as a support person. Instead of being able to help customers, leaders want support to act as a retention team to angry users who cannot figure out the incredibly convoluted credit and free trial system. They reward employees who work on weekends and late into the evening, calling them out publicly for their dedication, which basically means unless you are willing to have no work life balance, you will be seen as doing the bare minimum.

Pros

Great team, encouraging team leads, decent benefits, WFH

Cons

Pay is very low. People in industries like insurance or financial advising who start off with 0 and build their book over time know what they’re doing getting into it. Maybe they live with their parents or have someone to help them feel supported. After the tough beginning they can reap benefits. Here, it’s a combination of grit and luck. Your pipeline resets quarterly. The pipelines are usually old and are hit non stop by people and rotated through. I respect the hustle of calling someone, but if after “x” amount of calls you’re not getting someone, you move on and come back down the road. The amount of micromanagement and systems that are in place in order for you to get your records is completely unnecessary. We do 2 weeks of training we might as well learn an efficient way to run a pipeline where the management can trust us to not burn through every single lead instead of this mess that ends up burning leads anyway. Maybe then more people would be hitting the “big” numbers which is 65k+ and depending on where you live that may just seem average. This company also has a *subject to change vibe and they exercised that several times while I was there

Pros

Unlimited PTO* Although, you get punished if you actually use it

Cons

Experienced ( and unexperienced) seller BEWARE. My time at classpass was beyond miserable. First and foremost, the leadership team has absolutely no idea what they are doing. The amount of micromanagment is completely unnecessary. Prepare to have a 1:1 every day, every call recorded and picked apart, daily role plays with your manager, and managers listening in on live calls with out your knowledge. They will also lie and tell you this is an in field role ( it's not for at least 5 months). You will be making 60 plus calls a day to businesses who have been harassed for years and consistently refused to work with classpass. There is no room for growth or success at this company. No commission received if you do not hit your full quota.
