Management Nightmare

Pros

It's a fast-paced environment with lots to do, so the days were never dull. The location is nice and newer, with an updated tap and bar system installed. Pay is decent for the work performed, and we were allowed a free meal and drink on our shift. Room for growth is possible, but was incredibly taxing for the amount of work that needed to be performed.

Cons

Due to issues with my store's upper management at that time, my location had a terrible turnover rate. Improper food storage and handling was consistently an issue, and new hires were not always given thorough training on making food/drinks or dealing with customers. Due to the negligence of new hires, lots of equipment was routinely broken, and it became hard to keep up with thorough cleaning and management of existing equipment in the store.

Pros

You get half off food and drinks on shift. The regulars and most customers are super friendly and extremely grateful.

Cons

This Dunkin is awful. Certain management definitely picks/has favorites and pushes other managers to the side and treat them much worse than ones they “like more”. There’s no equality here, it feels like you’re back in high school again but WITH GROWN ADULTS. And mine as well forget about a “fun and flexible” schedule, you’ll be asked to do more shifts than you signed up for or way less. No in between. Was hired here to do full time and only got maybe 4-5 weeks of full time hours. The rest was ranging from 15-28. Which isn’t a livable wage? Oh and surprise shifts for days you can’t work will also pop up unknowingly and won’t be communicated with you. Room for advancement in positions but again, only if they like you enough. I was extremely disappointed coming to this dunkin seeming in that first week everyone was so friendly but it’s just a show they put on to keep you there. You’ll get attitude if you mess something up and/or forget about something by the manager. Truly such a negative place to work at and such negative, two faced people to be around. There’s so much more I could say but I’m sure this is enough. This is an awful place to work.
