Considering the list could go on forever, I'm happy there is a minimum number of cons and not a maximum.
The headsets for the drive through were outstandingly uncomfortable and barely worked. Every time someone read me their order I was forced to ask for it again at the window due to the static through the headset. Not only did this slow down my work process but it didn't bode too well with customers either.
When we ran out of regular coffee I was told by a fellow worker to just serve the customers decaf because they "couldn't tell the difference". Not only did this strike me as shocking but I felt terrible knowingly handing someone a decaf coffee that they didn't want.
When the iced coffee ran out I was told to use the hot coffee instead. My co worker mentioned that unlike "the decaf trick" this switch up was very noticeable to the customer and is tough to get away with. On a particular order we ran out of hot and iced coffee after a quarter of the cup was filled so my co worker just added an overwhelming amount of ice to make the coffee level increase.
At the end of my shift I was instructed to mop the floors. I proceeded to do just that when I noticed that the mop bucket was filled with mop water that seemed to be there since Dunkin donuts was founded. The water was black and definitely couldn't improve a floor's cleanliness in any way. I asked if I should change the mop water and the response I received was "no you don't have to it doesn't matter". Though I was appauled by the statement, at this point I couldn't wait to get out and just mopped the entire store with the equivalent to sewage water.
Eventually it was time to close and I noticed the hundreds of donuts, bagels, and other various bread goods that were leftover from that day. I expected to at least be able to take a dozen donuts home however I was told that that is grounds for termination and that I was aloud two donuts or a single muffin. As I hauled out over four bags of quality baked goods to the dumpster I vowed to myself that I would never return for employment at Dunkin' Donuts.
This was my first, and last day on the job.
