      Not a Bad Place to Work

      Pros

      I've been with Electrolux now for a few months and I think the people are wonderful and there is so much help. You are never left out on your own to figure it out. No one expects you to know everything right off the bat and are patient when you don't understand right away.

      Cons

      Scheduled plant shut downs are during the Christmas holiday. I, for one, am not from Tennessee. My family is somewhere else. I typically look forward to going back to my hometown and spending the Christmas holiday with my family and now that has been made impossible. Taking someones Christmas away from them is not okay. I would gladly give up my Thanksgiving holiday instead of Christmas. This needs to change.

      Pros

      Salary. Work week is typically 60 to 70 hours which makes for high pay.

      Cons

      Excessive work hours. Management from the VP level down has an integrity issue and treats all employees like a disposable resource. Two manufacturing engineering managers left in two years and both were very good engineering managers. Absolutely the worse facility I have ever worked at.
