Overall Fine but Your Manager Dictates Experience at Electrolux
Pros
Luckily, I had a fantastic manager. The people that do the work are great. Good people on the right teams, lots of people are dedicate to the work and success of the company.
Cons
Poor decisions at the top level had a huge impact on the company and the culture but were told to "get over it" and move on. Much of your experience hinges on who your manager is - if you have a bad manager, it's really bad experience. Missing culture other than being online early and working late. Everyone slipped back into pre-pandemic mindset as soon as office was mandatory again which included 7 and 8am calls and little flexibility for parents who may not be able to meet those demands. Bad tracking got a little out of hand with very little transparency on why people were being let go. 60/40 policy was not strategic or productive. Wish there had been more thought around utilizing time in office for collaboration but typically meant people dialed into Teams calls from their desk. Need a better/more modern approach to promotions and growth. Newer generations of workers aren't interested in lateral moves for the sake of "learning the business" and would rather specialize in the topic/career path they're interested in.
