Pros

Under Riccitiello, each studio within EA is gaining more independence, giving us more creative freedom, while the benefits of working for a corporate giant (benefits, marketing power, etc) remain. Beyond that, it's studio dependent. Don't necessarily assume a valid gripe from one employee is a corporate-wide problem.

Cons

It's still the games industry. The hours can be longer and the pay is usually less. If gaming is not something you love, you'll be happier elsewhere.

Pros

The people (employees and management team) are good and strong. You get feedback about your job performance regularly and career advancements opportunities are there for you which your manager will help you achieve. It's overall a laid-back environment as long as you get your work done.

Cons

Overtime (although you get comp. time back after each development cycle).

Pros

Really casual environment. Decent compensation, travel is sometimes given. The EA university allows for personal growth and learning in the industry. Very friendly people working in the teams. Great facilities. Cheap EA published games.

Cons

Lots of times there were very long hours without proper compensation for the work you do. Schedules are sometimes created without a work life balance in mind. On occasion, the political environment gets too hot, and there isnt a lot which you can control. If you decided youd like to work there, be preapred to cover yourself and don't make any enemies out of executive level people.
