Pros

The company is performing very well financially. The one team mentality along with the player first agenda has inspired the entire company and make for a positive work enviornment. The CEO has a gaming background and is a rising star.

Cons

Central technical teams are stretched too thin and don't work well with each other. If you are not part of one of the large franchises out of one of the studios, you will be treated like a 2nd class citizen

Pros

Great people. Like the DevOps team is awesome, the software engineers are awesome, QA is awesome, and management is awesome. Great crew of people to work with.

Cons

They prefer hiring "temporary full time employees" (1 year contract) over hiring "regular full time employees". They won't give extensions longer than three months due to bc labour laws (the law states you automatically get converted into a regular full time employee if you are still working 3 months after your contract ends, and they want to avoid that).

Much better than it had been

Pros

Can be a fun place to work, but don't expect to goof around all day. There are gaming areas that you can go play some computer or console games here and there. Coworkers are passionate about creating something great. Game credits to get new EA games for free. On site game and movie rental is awesome.

Cons

The biggest issue I had with working at EA was all the hate that some consumers would throw at the company, even if it wasn't a project I worked on. It is best to try to ignore that and keep focused on doing good work. Cafeteria food could be better.
