Pros

Good pay for the job that it is. Facility is comfortable and has a good canteen. Good health benefits with lots of free games & other perks. Upper management in the US are making an effort to raise moral and engage with staff. Company has to conform to Irish employment standards so the standard 20 days vacation, sick pay, overtime and protected working hours are in place.

Cons

Shifts that have no life / work balance. No product training, no structured game training to provide staff with the information critical to resolving players issues. Figure it out on your own time or use Google. Although it's a game company you would not know it and it really feels like a customer care call centre in any other industry. Most management do not know about or play games therefore do not understand their customers. Huge turnover in staff and management.

Pros

good canteen food, free coffee / tea, free ice cream work only 4 days a week - 3 days off good salary games room

Cons

Decisions on management level are not considering the consequences for the agents and resulting in low morale. 6 months ago you could have been above target and without changing anything in your work / style, you are now rated below target. Shifts are too long (11h) and schedule could be better, sometimes you just work, sleep, work, sleep etc.

Pros

I met some of the kindest people working there

Cons

I met some of the most two faced people working there who would do anything to get promoted There are so many people working at EA like it is a government job. There are some who have been there for more than 20 years. There are individuals at senior levels who never worked anywhere else but EA which left them uneducated about how other companies use data and technology. EA’s strategy is in the hands of a small group of people who don’t really have a great understanding of the work that is being done or the strategy. They make decisions without understanding the impact and that’s so visible to the IC level employees who desperately look for jobs elsewhere. There are a few data people who are trusted blindly. Feelings play a big role in decisions. Who you are friends with in the org has a bigger impact on your promotion than your output. They want everyone but everyone to communicate in their style. There is absolutely no sensitivity or acceptance for other cultures and communication styles. To survive in this org you need to fit in. Say the things they want to hear and in the way they want you to say them. Diversity and inclusion? All senior level leaders are either Irish or Americans. If you are a male you can say anything in any tone and it would be ok but if you are a female you need to watch the way you speak at all times. Salary? They will pay you way below the market standards and way below your worth. RUN AWAY! I am aware of a colleague who reported that they were sexually assaulted by another employee at EA. The HR did nothing. Senior leaders were aware of the situation they did nothing. The person still works at EA.
