Pros

State of the art pharmaceutical manufacturing. Good location near the freeway 80. Certain groups and certain jobs could be good for certain career paths. Clean and new campus (most buildings). Walking distance from 4th st and other good spots for shops and restaurants, pubs etc. Cafe is decent. Not great, but convenient. The distributed campus makes for a good location for doing other job searches via cell phone etc. Some of the introduction training and ongoing training has really good, content, instructors, framework and good variety. Money is no object in obtaining the quality of product production necessary for FDA approval.

Cons

Most workers are treated like cogs in a machine run from Germany. Most local Sr. mngt is from Germany too. Though an industry wide problem, excessive paper work and red tape as mandated by the FDA make it very hard to make substantial change of even progress of any kind at times.

Pros

Better pay than other companies My team - full of hardworking and knowledgable individuals.

Cons

Leadership/Management - can be micromanaging at times and not a lot of guidance/resources being provided. Projects can change swiftly at Bayer, and most of the times there's no background context given. Work/life balance - asked to be "flexible" with schedule for last-minute requests, then criticized for having life/responsibilities outside of work. Also, these last minute requests reflect poor planning on management. Lack of team morale - seems like it's all work and not a lot of play. Burnout culture and not a lot of incentives to perform better.
