      Pros

      I am a Native English speaker. I used to live overseas where it was difficult to find work as the country I resided in was a non-English speaking country. I had taught English in the past when I used to live in China so Native Camp seemed a perfect fit for me. I will admit, I read all the awful reviews that had been posted on line and was skeptical. However, I have been working for Native Camp since Sept 2018 and can not complain. Understanding there are many different employees of Native Camp, this review is based on my personal experience only 1. Paid on time and correctly? Yes, every 2 weeks as specified in the contract 2. Are questions replied to in a timely manner and properly? Yes, I have had every question responded to either within 10min, 1 hour or 24 hours later. Regardless, I am answered and the answers contain the information I requested and are always polite and professional. 3. Are working hours convenient? Yes, as an online tutor, you work your own schedule, no questions asked 4. Is the interview process easy? Yes 5. Constant classes? Yes. Example If I am online for 3 hours then for that 3 hours I am solidly working. Classes can be sudden or reserved classes. 6. Online platform is SO easy to use.

      Cons

      Is pay good? It is ok. Reservation class rate: 50/50 there has been pay periods where I have 50 reservations, there has been other pay periods where I have maybe 15 reservation. Obviously the more reservations, the more salary you are paid. Teaching to children is fun, however, sometimes the children are left unsupervised and they simply do not want to learn example they turn the camera on and off, run in and out of the room, do not answer or are simply so young and have no understanding at all etc... Some adult students are also hard to deal with example, on more than 1 occasion I have had an adult wanting to 'free talk' and within the first few minutes they advise they are intoxicated. I would like to point out, these instances are NOT common but it is good to be aware of this.

      Pros

      Job opportunity for people who don't have a degree. They supply videos for you to familiarize yourself with the different lessons. Their communication has a quick turnaround.

      Cons

      Videos cannot actually prepare you for doing the actual lessons. Some sort of interactive system is needed to prepare teachers better for conducting the actual lessons. Communication method on the interface is a bit confusing - I cannot see which messages are unread-even when I toggle the icon to "unread messages"

      Pros

      1. Very flexible platform 2. No minimum hours required 3. mostly polite students 4. lesson material provided

      Cons

      1. The salary is pathetic and it is a shame they are still paying that same rate since they started. 2. They recently introduced a feature where you can adjust your rate but the requirements you should meet first are almost impossible to achieve. 3. very long waiting hours, too many teachers, very few students 4. a biased rating system that punishes teachers
