      Flexible and Convenient - Home-based Online English Teacher Native Camp Employee Review

      Pros

      Flexible schedule. I can work anytime I want. Most of the students are polite. The staff are active. The materials provided to be taught are very easy, so teachers can teach with ease. There's a salary increase for booked class recently, up to $4 per hour for Filipinos.

      Cons

      Few incentives, and difficult to achieve. The ranking incentives for the rating and lesson time conducted are only up to 20. The incentive for 100 lessons finished is very low. Salary for sudden classes is a bit lower, just $1.19. There are also too rude students. They underestimate Filipino teachers, but why keep on choosing Filipinos? As I can see, those students who show rude performance to our classes often Filipino teachers. They also report the teachers directly if there's an internet disconnection-it's not the teachers' fault though. Teachers' account is automatically deactivated the moment the students report. There are errors in some grammar, spelling, and answers on the textbooks. The tax payment is a bit higher (10%).

      Pros

      Job opportunity for people who don't have a degree. They supply videos for you to familiarize yourself with the different lessons. Their communication has a quick turnaround.

      Cons

      Videos cannot actually prepare you for doing the actual lessons. Some sort of interactive system is needed to prepare teachers better for conducting the actual lessons. Communication method on the interface is a bit confusing - I cannot see which messages are unread-even when I toggle the icon to "unread messages"

      Pros

      1. Very flexible platform 2. No minimum hours required 3. mostly polite students 4. lesson material provided

      Cons

      1. The salary is pathetic and it is a shame they are still paying that same rate since they started. 2. They recently introduced a feature where you can adjust your rate but the requirements you should meet first are almost impossible to achieve. 3. very long waiting hours, too many teachers, very few students 4. a biased rating system that punishes teachers
