      Tutoring the friendliest students in the world - Online English Teacher Native Camp Employee Review

      Pros

      This is the first time I have tried tutoring online and Native Camp really is the best platform (local and international). More than 80% of the students learning English on Native Camp are eager to learn and are also very friendly. Thanks to NC, I have found something I am truly passionate about!

      Cons

      Payment is really low (I would love to do this as a full-time profession, but unfortunately can only earn a minimum of around $2 per class. Getting booked lessons are nearly impossible when you are new on the platform (even when setting your booked fee to the minimum). Incentives are not easy to get if you are new. Hopefully the admin at NC would be able to build a fairer system to help new teachers (among the 15 000 existing members) to stand out and succeed.

      Pros

      Job opportunity for people who don't have a degree. They supply videos for you to familiarize yourself with the different lessons. Their communication has a quick turnaround.

      Cons

      Videos cannot actually prepare you for doing the actual lessons. Some sort of interactive system is needed to prepare teachers better for conducting the actual lessons. Communication method on the interface is a bit confusing - I cannot see which messages are unread-even when I toggle the icon to "unread messages"

      Pros

      1. Very flexible platform 2. No minimum hours required 3. mostly polite students 4. lesson material provided

      Cons

      1. The salary is pathetic and it is a shame they are still paying that same rate since they started. 2. They recently introduced a feature where you can adjust your rate but the requirements you should meet first are almost impossible to achieve. 3. very long waiting hours, too many teachers, very few students 4. a biased rating system that punishes teachers
