      Great Support and Systems - Online English Tutor Native Camp Employee Review

      Pros

      Work when you want, easy to fit around your schedule. Great videoconferencing system with some tools and add ons. Lessons are mostly structured following textbooks and guides created by Native Camp so easy to follow and no direct prep is required for the lesson. Go online and, if someone wants a class with you, you get it right away.

      Cons

      Can often be sat there waiting in vain or for a while, depending on student availability; be sure to check their schedule to see estimated student density so you can predict your best times to be online. Remember it is estimated, not live. Live would be good to be fair. Also, the lessons are timed to the second so be sure to watch the clock and pace well, that's the hardest part to get used to in my case.

      Pros

      Job opportunity for people who don't have a degree. They supply videos for you to familiarize yourself with the different lessons. Their communication has a quick turnaround.

      Cons

      Videos cannot actually prepare you for doing the actual lessons. Some sort of interactive system is needed to prepare teachers better for conducting the actual lessons. Communication method on the interface is a bit confusing - I cannot see which messages are unread-even when I toggle the icon to "unread messages"

      Pros

      1. Very flexible platform 2. No minimum hours required 3. mostly polite students 4. lesson material provided

      Cons

      1. The salary is pathetic and it is a shame they are still paying that same rate since they started. 2. They recently introduced a feature where you can adjust your rate but the requirements you should meet first are almost impossible to achieve. 3. very long waiting hours, too many teachers, very few students 4. a biased rating system that punishes teachers
