Pros

- Campus - Food - Resources for learning - Responsibility and important work quickly - no micromanagement from your Team Lead (unless you are doing poorly) - If doing well, you have decent input towards the type of work you do - Feedback can be very helpful but also overwhelming when you feel like you're walking around the black mirror episode with stars over your head trying to impress everyone

Cons

- THIS IS NOT AN ENGINEERING ROLE. If you stay too long, you're not going to be qualified for true engineering. - As an integration engineer, you can't look at 90% of the things you're integrating with due to it being "competitor" software. - Very lean company. You will either do a bunch of internal projects that stretch you thin or you'll be ranked down for it. - The ranking process ... every TL gets together and decides who is the best at their jobs despite having very few interactions with most of the people. This directly impacts your pay, raise, and future opportunities. - The company isn't built to keep people around for a long time but it also boxes you in with non-compete, non-solicitation, and internal software that makes it hard for you to leave. - People have lots of power which can mean huge decisions get made without consulting those that are impacted by the choice.

Pros

Good pay, great health insurance.

Cons

They don't support WFH even for extreme weather or employees with disabilities (despite it being fully possible for every job to be completed remotely, as proved by COVID), TL's often encourage employees to work 50-60 hours a week and be available in their off hours, and they took a case all the way to the Supreme Court to ensure they didn't have to pay some workers overtime and to ensure you can't use them as an employee

Pros

-Good people -Good benefits -Learn how to work hard

Cons

-Culture of maximizing = overworking implementers and shaming colleagues who aren't overworked -Pressure leads to mental health problems for many implementers due to not achieving success with unrealistic workload -Difficult to uphold boundaries you set with company culture, even with increased tenure
