Ambition killer.

Pros

Some really nice people and a flexible, low-target way of working which makes a comfortable, relaxed environment (but also a workforce who get away with murder at times). They provide fruit, host regular parties and have table tennis, pool etc... It’s a good place for people who don’t want to be pushed too hard or who don’t want to have to work long hours.

Cons

There is no set structure and every department decides their own rules, which creates a real mess and prevents collaboration. Management is very top heavy and is promotion is achieved based on tenure, ambition and bright ideas count for nothing. They never hire senior people externally and promote yes-men from within so there is no new ideas. Ongoing support and training doesn’t exist - onboarding is just months and months of videos and classroom lectures without a follow up.

Pros

The sales incentive was pretty good but it was changed by London management team. You can learn many things through your sales career however you definitely experience the internal competition from London office.

Cons

You are required to work 24-7 Ultra Top-down system Management team invested in the ridiculous online SKU finder too much and push all sales to sell it and consulting managers don’t care about level-1,2 people.

Sketchy work for a sketchy company

Business Outlook

Pros

Generally low standards, so little concern about how you get the work done or the quality of the work.

Cons

Sketchy projects that are not well explained. Often project managers need you to do unethical things but will not come out and say it. They play favorites and adhere to most of the worst marketing management stereotypes. Very erratic and poor communication, decisions based on emotion not facts or logic. You'll be taken off projects and threatened with no real explanation or chance to atleast explain your perspective.
