Consistent hours, Leadership that fully encompass company standards, Amazing coworkers, The community of the job makes the pay worth it - with the possibility for raises each year

Cons

Hours are consistent i just wish i started earlier and left early - For example instead of work 9:30am to 6:00pm, i'd love to work 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Some employees are shady, if you speak up you get in trouble. And was told after my job was threatened to go take a ride in the golf court to clear my head.

I have been in retail my whole career about 30 years now. I worked every holiday and thought that retail is all I would do. Then by chance saw a posting for an Extra Space DM role and thought I would give it a shot. Interviewing was not easy as I had about 6 of them but after the 3rd I was hooked, and it was now a mission. This was because the company is rooted in its core values, and they want to ensure they bring on individuals that will develop and grow leaders. I'm learning a new industry where they invest in my growth and development and are interested in hearing my feedback as an experience DM. My leaders have been inspiring and supportive through my on-boarding and I'm excited to see where this new career will take me.

Cons

It's dirty sometime. There are times you have to get into site's that are not the most pleasant.
