Pros

Yearly merit increases help. Management has been open to review and update commission structure a few times in the last 2 years.

Cons

Half day Friday’s was taken away. Work life balance is no longer present. Working longer hours to meet administrative tasks. People from all departments leave on a monthly basis.

Working at Fastmarkets has been one of the most rewarding experiences for me. It’s a great company, driven by a CEO, Raju Daswani, who is a genuine people’s person, deeply approachable and always leading with empathy and vision. Raju’s energy and positive attitude inspires every part of the company. You can feel it in how the teams are always encouraged to collaborate and support each other. The HR team, for instance, is always approachable and genuinely willing to help; they run lots of initiatives to promote mentorship and effective communications between colleagues. The company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is not just a box-ticking exercise; it’s embedded in the fabric of the organization. Everyone is respected and valued. I had the privilege of working alongside incredibly smart and supportive colleagues who generously shared their deep expertise in commodity markets. I learned so much! One other thing that I personally really liked, is the forward-thinking mindset that runs through the company—from embracing innovation to always aiming to do better and scaling impressively. The growth trajectory is exciting, and I’m proud to have been part of that journey. Beyond the work, I’ve made some of my best friends here and will forever cherish the fun memories we created together. This company isn’t just a great place to work—it’s a place where you grow, connect, and truly belong. If you're considering a role here, take it, you’ll be get so much out of it.

Avoid until Events leadership replaced

Pros

Respected and capable CEO. Strong core product.

Cons

CEO continues to support inept Events leadership despite ongoing issues, HR complaints, and poor survey results (now monthly). Toxic culture driven by excessive pressure, intimidation, and bullying tactics. Lack of recognition and poor pay, especially for long hours worked. High sick leave due to unrealistic expectations. Private equity ownership fosters short-term thinking. Atrocious onboarding with no training on business systems. Best avoided until leadership and culture improve.
