Pros

- Great entry place in the QA industry - Young environment - Great people who work and stay loyal to the company despite full knowingly that they could leave for a better job - Flexible program in the sense that absences are allowed within the working hours

Cons

1/ Bad overall management, from the middle management, up to division, and top management 2/ Favouritism is strong in this one. You'll see this happen across all the QA studios. 3/ The company runs on a business model which allows it to hire inexperienced people on QA side. This leads to a high turnover rate, which consequently determines the management to treat the QA employees as a highly dispensable resource. Other: - Shameful salaries compared with the industry in Cluj-Napoca, even for its top performers - No raises until recently. The raises which are approved, are made without any solid base. If you're lucky you get one or see point 2 above. - Extremely few benefits. - Bad working hours . 10 AM to 19 PM. Seems ok, but in time you'll realise that your work/life balance is affected, nearly non-existent. - Working on internal tools which ARE using the latest technologies but which are not applicable in any other company. Basically you'll learn to use tools and gain certain skills that are useful only in Gameloft. This will be a disadvantage after leaving the company. - Overtime. You are not forced to do it but it will account to your overall evolution and evaluation. The managers and employees were badly taught on OT, and so you'll see 2 sides: a)The ones that love OT and are earning in accordance to their effort. b) The ones that hate OT and are fast to judge and label their colleagues who do OT. - Employee feedback and evaluation : Non-existent. - Employee appreciation : Non-existent. Don't expect a pat on the back if you do not go out for a drink with your studio manager, or you're not the super tester who saves the day everyday. If you're lucky you'll find managers who will appreciate your work correctly and will support you, but those are the exceptions. And the list can continue.

Pros

Colleagues are friendly Casual dress Looks good on your resume Probably good for artists, not for programmers

Cons

I had these reviews before starting and didn't think much of it. The culture becomes toxic and they will take from you every ounce of drive and then leave you out to dry when you require are struggling. Management is clueless that people are actually people and not machines. The project's aren't interesting and there is a lot of micromanagement High turn over rate as people are figuring this out. Excessive overtime In one breath they say its all about values, culture and balance and then in another heavily imply you need to commit to overtime, as if you don't have a choice and your ability comes into question if you leave even after working an extra hour.
