      Pros

      Moderate pay. Other than that there is nothing.

      Cons

      Preach safety all day long, I'm the end it comes down to production. The management doesn't care about you, They care about their pockets. Does not provide proper PPE. Hazardous working environment. Runs equipment even when broken ,falling apart, and in danger of seriously injuring someone. Management will change procedures and when failed, the operators get blamed. The list goes on!

      Good pay for area and a stable job

      Cons

      Company focus on everything but making a profit Safety is important but it becomes a culture of fear when it is over done. Too much unimportant tasks taking up time. Alway messing with employees pay making them mad. Always a low stock price compared to other steel makers.

      Pros

      Large steel manufacturing enterprise with a global reach. Many projects on the go, keeps you busy and lots of training available to learn. Depending on your area of expertise you can develop your career and move within the company even if it includes relocation to another country. Some great Co - workers, people very much focused on doing their job and growing thr company.

      Cons

      Hiring and promotion is based on time served within the corporation rather than area of expertise. As a result confusion reins because you have people who are good people placed in the wrong position and leading with wrong mentality. North American IT is being run mostly by non - IT folk who have no clue how to run an IT enterprise and are therefore focused on numbers than developing people and technology. A bully mentality is the order of the day. Work to life balance though touted everywhere within the company is a complete galaxy.
