Pros

Great company with strong emphasis in guest services. If you are looking for a company you can grow in, Hyatt offers plenty of opportunity, especially if willing to relocate.

Cons

It's not always a bad thing, but Hyatt is very brand oriented and sticks with the specific brand strandards and requirements, which can sometimes be hard, particularly if you live in a cultural city.

Pros

Flexible schedule. People are nice. You get 12 free nights a year. Commissions. You can be a remote agent. Great managers.

Cons

It's a phone job. You sometimes feel like you can't breathe because of back to back calls. You have to offer a Hyatt Credit Card to almost every caller. People who get upset and ask for a manager are given to you. If they still don't feel your responses for sufficient you can transfer them to the next "manager". Promoting up sometimes feels like a pay cut since you can make more on the phones.

Pros

Corporate Hyatt owned hotels are a wonderful environment to work in. The company takes pride in making sure the employees at every level know their number one responsibility is hospitality and what that means. If you are looking for a career in the hotel industry I highly recommend working for a corporate owned or managed Hyatt, Hyatt Place or Hyatt House.

Cons

Many of their properties have been sold to smaller investment groups over the last five years. These smaller companies are not always on board with doing things the way Hyatt does. Some are much more concerned about their bottom dollar. This is not true for all - but some of them. So research any Hyatt you consider working for to make sure the owner(s) are a company you would want to work for.
