      Global Company Who Promotes Mobility

      Pros

      IHS Markit is a very dynamic and complex company. It uses data from the services it offers to produce new data products and help leaders understand complex changes in economies, supply logistics, security, politics, etc. Many people who know IHS Markit do not actually know when they are using IHS Markit data, Car Fax, Jane's 360, Indicies, etc. Leadership is hyper focused on balance, diversity and culture.

      Cons

      IHS Markit is growing fast and a global culture is hard to cultivate. Much of the knowledge that is required to be effective at IHS Markit comes from a career of specialization. So many employees have very long tenures.

      Very flexible. Objectives are not clear so you can do what you like basically.

      Cons

      Little to no leadership in the management/associate director ranks. Associate directors are usually just friends of higher level colleagues. They tend to care little about developing anyone in the more junior ranks.

      Clear prioritization of stockholders over employees, lousy pay, upper management/executives create roadblocks to innovation, then justify it as "offering challenges".
